We are proud to present to you the 2013 FloridaCycling.Com Bill Bone PRO-AM Race Series powered by zMotion and BikeStreet USA.  This series brings back tradition, quality, and fun with the best 12 weekends and 28 races in Florida.  It is a much smaller series than racers are used to and we feel it will make for a more manageable schedule for the racers.  You will enjoy new categories, new individual and team championship points, leader’s jerseys, longer races, higher cash prizes, end of series cash and awards, and lots more.

PROMOTION:  This series is a production of Topview Sports in collaboration with seven different Promoters that individually own and manage the events with the support of multiple Clubs throughout Florida.

PERMITTING:  All events will be permitted and insured by USA Cycling.

ANTI DOPING:  All events support USADA’s and the Florida Ride Clean Fund’s policies and procedures.

FAIR & CLEAN PLEDGE:  All Promoters and Riders pledge to foster Fair & Clean competition.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE:  In addition to the various local charities receiving significant financial support from each Promoter and Event Sponsor, this series and Topview Sports will support the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.  Please join our lead-out against pediatric cancer, and help us save KID’s lives!

CALENDAR:  We have shortened the time frame of the series to 5 months:

CATEGORIES:  We will be calculating individual and team championship points in the following categories:

CHAMPIONSHIPS BY INDIVIDUAL:  We will use a “race drop” points system that allows riders to accumulate points in a smaller number of races.  This will expand the opportunity for more riders to stay in the hunt for the Series Championships by Category for the entire calendar.  We will count each rider’s top 12 results.  All race disciplines (CRIT, CIR, RR, TT & GC) will count the same and all races will be placed 25 places deep for points.  Please see the full point breakdown below.  This will allow racers to have bad days and select specific events they chose.  Please note the Ocala Stage Race will offer 4 Sets of points, the two Road Races, the Time Trial and the Overall General Classification will all count towards the series.  Also note that Ocala will be a TRUE STAGE RACE for 2013, which means you must register for and compete in all three stages to qualify for GC.

CHAMPIONSHIPS BY TEAM:  We will also keep track of the best teams in each category.  We will take the top 3 riders in each day of racing and total those points to achieve Team Champions by Category.  For this competition, we will only the total points of the team’s top three with no drop races unlike the individual rankings.

EVENT PRIZES & AWARDS:  We have increased the minimum requirement of cash prizes for every weekend.   This is possible due to the financial support of each event’s Promoter and Sponsors, and it rewards the quality of riders in Florida.  Please refer to each Event’s Flyers for details.

SERIES PRIZES & AWARDS:  We will have $10,000 in Overall Cash Prizes & Awards with a GUARANTEED $7,000 in Cash Prizes for following categories.  This is possible due to the financial support of Bill Bone, zMotion, and BikeStreet USA. 

Team Awards will be plaques that will be engraved once all the results are tabulated from the Ocala Stage Race and then distributed to a team representative.  Cash awards will be handled onsite at the Ocala Stage Race Sunday after each categories podium presentation. Riders not at Ocala will be mailed cash prizes.  Non Cash Categories will receive trophies for the top 3 places as well as series winner T-Shirts. Trophies will not be mailed but may be claimed at a future event.  Each Individual Series Champion will also receive a FREE ENTRYinto the 5 days GEORGIA CYCLING GRAN PRIX.  The race takes place from July 24-28 near Atlanta. This is a $175 dollar value prize and is non-transferable.

RESULTS:   The official Event Results and Series Championship Points will be tabulated and hosted on FloridaCycling.com

Winter Garden BikeFest & Race of the West

The online Registration for the Pinellas Park Circuit Race will stay open until NOON on FRIDAY. We are giving you as long as possible to get this done. There will NOT be any registration for Pinellas Park at the Tampa Crit.  Please note that if you sign the online release with USACycling and own your own timing chip, that line moves very fast so do yourself a favor and pre-register.

This year marks the 7th Annual Pinellas Park Circuit Race that has for the past 5 years followed the Tampa Crit. Florida Velo is proud to offer this great course that features a 2.2 mile route and a nice sweeping run to the finish line. After a few tough TopView Sports courses this one is a bit on the easier side and often features breakaways. Come enjoy the park like setting near at the Finish Line area and the ample parking and nice long 100KM Pro race. You won't want to miss this one.   Both Days are part of the FloridaCycling.Com Bill Bone Pro Am and will award points!
