The 2011 FPS - Florida Points Series will span over 32 fantastic weekends of quality racing from January to late October.

The following are some highlights:

- Over 100 individual races covering the entire State
- New Points System rewarding both Performance and Participation
- New race Designations ranging from State, Crown, Cup, Medal, Regional, to Training races

Florida FPS OVERALL Series

In order to reward both Performance and Participation, Riders competing for the FPS Overall Championship will now only need to accumulate points in 30 races. All FPS races permitted will count towards this competition. You can now earn points in the over 100 individual Training, Regional, Medal, Cup, Crown, and State Championship races. Once you have reached 30 races, your next highest points earned in any race will replace your lowest points earned up to that point. We believe this series give many more riders the opportunity to compete throughout the year without having to participate in every race available, and it will surely recognize our very best overall riders in the state!

The $100,000 BILL BONE PRO-AM Series

zMotion, Miami Masters and WAM Events have teamed up to bring the greatest series of prize money racing to ever hit South Florida. That’s right, 12 great weekends, 24 great races in all, crits, circuits, road races and TT’s , and a few other surprises. Please stay tuned for all the great details

4 of our most prestigious Florida CUP races have stepped to earn the Florida CROWN designation, and to bring to you the very best that Florida bike racing has to offer.

Florida TIME TRIAL Series

We are fortunate to have several Time Trial races at every level of designation, and we would like to encourage all riders to participate and earn points closer to home. We expect to have close to 50 races during the season, and riders can now go for the Time Trial Series Championship by accumulating points in only 15 of those races.

Florida MEDAL races

MEDAL races are FPS permitted races that must include the following categories of racing. Men Pro, 1,2, Men cat 3,4,5, Women’s cat 1,2,3, Women’s 3,4, master’s 35+, 45+, 55+,65+, Junior 10-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18. Junior events may be excluded from road racing events if needed due to safety on the road, but it is recommended to accommodate Juniors if at all possible.

Florida REGIONAL races

This new designation allows many REGIONAL races to participate in the FPS, and for riders to compete and earn points closer to home. REGIONAL races must be held on a weekend and must score riders using either a camera or timing chip system. Regional races may be run using an A, B, C category placing, where Category A is Men 1,2,3, Masters cat 1-3, women 1-3, Juniors cat 1-3; Category B is Men 4,5, Masters 4-5, Women 3-4, Juniors 4-5; and Caegory C is Juniors Men 10-14 cat 5, Junior Women 10-16 cat 4, Men 5, Women 4.

In accordance to each Promoter and their posted Event Flyers 15 points per race scoring 10 deep

Florida TRAINING races

This new designation allows many TRAINING races to participate in the FPS, and for riders to compete and earn points closer to home. TRAINING races may be held during a weekday and are not required to use ether a camera or timing chip system. TRAINING races may also be run using an A, B, C category placing as described above.

In accordance to each Promoter and their posted Event Flyers 10 points per race scoring 5 deep

The FRCA Rulebook provides all FPS Promoters with Guidelines and Requirements to maximize the quality and safety of all FPS events.
