The FPS - Florida Points Series spans over 22 fantastic weekends of quality racing from early February to the middle of October.
The series is split into 2 seasons. The FPS Spring Season ends in mid May after the State Criterium Championships in Lakeland, and the FPS Fall Season ends in mid October. Riders accumulate points for each season separately to determine that Season's Champion and TOP 4 Riders by category and team, and all points earned during both seasons are added to determine the FPS Overall Champion and TOP 4 Riders by category and team.
The State Championships are held for the Criterium, Time Trial, and Road disciplines.
The Champion of Champions is awarded to the TOP rider by category who accumulated the most points in all 3 State Championship - must participate in all 3 events to qualify.
The Florida Cup is comprised of 6 select events (3 in the Spring series and 3 in the Fall series), and points are accumulated for these 6 events to determine the TOP 3 Riders by category.
The racing season in Florida has much to offer for everyone.
In 2009, the FRCA will be recognizing and awarding our riders with over $17,000 ($4,300 in Cash, 435 Trophies, and 144 Jerseys).
