A group of young cyclists mainly from the Sunshine State have been accepted to race the biggest race of their young careers.  They will be heading to Val-d'Or (Québec) Canada July 25th through the 29th to participate in the five day stage race known as the Tour de l’Abitibi.  They will be competing against 26 other teams from around the WORLD.

Two Central Florida riders will be Will Willis from Orlando and Jimmy Page from Crystal River.  The six cyclists will be racing on a new composite development team designed to give young aspiring cyclists an opportunity to experience big time racing.  The team will be known as Florida Velo Development Team.

Previous riders whose footsteps they will be following in are Greg LeMond, Robbie Ventura, Lance Armstrong, and current Olympic athlete Taylor  Phinney.  As you can imagine they are very excited about this opportunity.

The cost for this excursion will run between five and six thousand dollars,
and these young cyclists could use your help.
